Konica Minolta launch two new color MFPs

11 December 2015

Two new color A3 multifunctions have been added to the catalog of Konica Minolta: the bizhubs C227 and C287.  The manufacturers are highlighting the ranges of functions to suit mobile users, and their ease of use.

To adapt to the flexibility of the new working environment, Konica Minolta decided to invest in new mobile technologies. The bizhubs C227 / C287 are equipped with a 7-inch touch screen with a contactless NFC zone and Bluetooth, for Android and IOS devices. They connect automatically to launch features like Touch-to-Print and Scan-to-Touch. In addition, they are also compatible with AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, the Mopria Print Service and the Konica Minolta Print Service.

In parallel to the monochrome counterparts released earlier this year, the bizhub C227 has a print speed of 22 ppm and the C287, 28 ppm.  As with all recent Konica Minolta A3 MFPs, they also house an internal web server (IWS) and run a web browser which can be a platform for a variety of solutions.  They also feature reduced energy consumption.

The bizhubs C227 and C287 are the first of the entry-level color A3 range, with reference numbers ending in 7.  In parallel, Konica Minolta are renewing the top range of color A3 multifunctions with the C258, C308 and C368 launched earlier this year.  The models ending in an 8 can handle SRA3 (12" by 18") stocks, have a larger, capacitive interface, a double head feeder as standard for scanning double-sided in a single pass, and a wider range of paper trays.
