Canon lifts the veil on PRISMAdirect   06 November 2015

At Canon Expo 2015, which was held in Paris last month, the Japanese firm presented PRISMAdirect, a web-to-print solution that should help print service providers to eliminate repetitive tasks and to improve productivity.

This Solution is made of two distinct elements.  The order-processing console enables print service providers to receive and process print work orders or orders for other types of products.  These orders can come in from different sources: emails, scanned documents, the cloud, etc.  The (optional) online shop module offers an unlimited number of fully customizable shop windows to retain existing customers or to attract new ones.

The interface of PRISMAdirect is fully configurable.  It can display all email exchanges with customers to ensure personalized attention.  This solution also offers advanced tools (e.g. color page detection) so jobs can be better scheduled to optimise productivity.  PRISMAdirect also offers load-balancing tools for sharing jobs among available groups of printers.

Lastly, PRISMAdirect can integrate existing workflows, hook up to third-party solutions and is compatible with a wide range of production print systems equipped with PRISMAsync, Efi Fiery or Creo controllers.
