Ringdale's FollowMe is now available for Canon's MEAP Platform

14 December 2016

Ringdale, the US publisher of print solutions, is expanding its offer around the FollowMe solution. It has just announced that the print  accounting and pull printing solution is now compatible with Canon multifunction printers running the MEAP (Multi-function Embedded Application) development platform.

DataMaster Online subscribers can now see this compatibility on their DMO portal.

"The FollowMe Embedded client is integrated directly into the native MEAP platform of the Canon capable devices ensuring customers have a seamless experience for device authentication and secure, cost effective office printing," said Jan Bollmann, Executive Vice President of Ringdale.

FollowMe is a secure print management solution that enables you to analyze, account for and manage all the print flows of an enterprise regardless of the origin of the flow and the print point. On some machines, it is possible to manage the other functions available on the multifunction (scan, email, fax).  Secure pull printing allows the user to release their work on the device of their choice from the FollowMe print server. For this, the user must identify her or himself at the printer interface by means of a badge or a personal code.

The Ringdale solution as well as the latest Canon machines are present in Your DMO benchmark portal. FollowMe is also compatible with many other MFPs such as those of the manufacturers Xerox, Konica Minolta, OKI, Toshiba and Kyocera.
