Xerox customize their MFPs to make them smarter

24 March 2016

"Imagine an MFP that can translate a document into more than 35 languages, or be customized and built to meet customers’ particular business needs.  The ConnectKey-enabled i-Series MFPs provide those services and more." said Jim Rise, senior vice president, Office and Solutions Business Group, Xerox, at the launch of the i-Series from Xerox.

This new range comprises 14 MFPs integrating ConnectKey technology to be more efficient, productive and secure.
New applications characterize the Xerox i-Series:
  • Xerox Easy Translation Service allows you to scan a document on the MFP and to obtain a translation into over 35 languages, respecting layouts and with the option to output in Word format.

  • With Xerox' App Studio 3.0, Xerox resellers have the ability to create custom buttons for applications for their clients. The touch-screen interface of the MFP  can thus be customized and adapted to individual business users.  The Personnalised Application Builder program (PAB) extends customization options even further.

  • Mobile applications are also available, such as @PrintByXerox.  Cloud-based, it allows users to print their documents securely from any mobile device.  The QR code app is also available and allows a smartphone to pair with an MFP to avail itself of other mobile solutions like Xerox Mobile Link.

  • Finally, installed directly on the user interface, the Xerox App Gallery provides access to different Cloud applications, and the ability to print and scan to and from cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive.
These machines are already on the market and available from authorized dealers.
