Kyocera launch two new machines this summer

27 June 2016

Kyocera Document Solutions America is launching two new A3 color MFPs this summer, the TASKalfa 2552ci and 3252ci.  Other models will also be placed on the market by the end of 2016 (TASKalfa 4052ci, 5052ci and 6052ci), thus replacing the old series (2551ci, 3051ci, 4551ci and 5551ci) entirely.  Aimed at small and medium businesses, these MFPs feature the latest Kyocera technologies.

The color, the resolution, the scalability, the wireless connectivity – it’s all world class,” said Douglas Cole, Director of Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing Division for KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “As with every Kyocera MFP, it’s about offering the functionality our customers care about most.”

The new MFPs print at respectively 32 and 25 pmm and feature both the latest toner technology and the Kyocera amorphous silicon drum (as opposed to the organic photoconductor drum (OPC) favored by its competitors). This technology helps these machines deliver very good color print quality with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. These multifunctions has a maximum capacity of 7,150 sheets and are equipped with a dual-head scanner which can run at up to 160 ipm.  Finally, a Fiery controller is available as an option on the 3252ci MFP.

"Our customers are demanding mobile printing and scanning capabilities, and that certainly includes smaller workgroups," said Jim Fuller, marketing product manager at Kyocera Document Solutions America.

Mobile printing and new trends related to mobile devices have been catered for in this series.  NFC for Android is available, as is compatibility for AirPrint, Google Cloud PrintKyocera Mobile Print and many other applications developed by the manufacturer.  These machines are also equipped with a 9-inch 90-degree tilt touch-screen interface and, of course, the HyPAS extention platform.

The TASKalfa 2552ci and 3252ci are already available in the United States from authorized resellers.
