DataMaster Labs gives 4.5 stars to the new Canon iR Advance series   09 December 2016

Canon's iR Advance C5500 series multifunction printers have been tested by the DataMaster Lab test team.  They have been awarded the rating of 4.5/5 stars after full evaluation by our laboratory.

The touch-screen interface of these MFPs was particularly appreciated. Reactive and very easy to use, it requires very few keys to perform complicated tasks.  Our analyses showed that these machines are very productive, in general terms, and the RIP time is very short for machines of this segment, both on PDF and MS.Office files.

The DataMaster team also highlighted the special and additional functions of these machines, such as the multi-sheet detector on the feeder, the motion sensor which brings the machine out of stand-by mode, and the side-mounted electric stapler.
The toner cartridges' capacity is very large indeed, among the best on the market.

DataMaster's analyses and assessments are completely independent.  Five-star certificates are extremely rare.  To attain five stars, not only must the equipment under test demonstrate an excellent performance in most categories, but must have no major weakness in any of the evaluation criteria.

Machines' evaluation certificates and the corresponding rosette badges (as well as those for other machines in the range with the same print engine, plus any rebadged machines sold by other brands) can all be downloaded for FREE from Printer-Benchmark.com.  The radar chart, the detailed results of productivity tests and other comparison tools are available on the DMO website, accessible by subscription.

Datamaster Online (DMO) is a benchmarking portal: competitive information, analyses, evaluations, comparison tools, technical data, product strengths and weaknesses, TCO ... and much more.  An independent test lab.
