Samsung launches a new series of A4/Letter printers and MFPs   07 March 2016

Samsung Electronics has announced the upcoming release of the ProXpress C30 series of A4 color printers and multifunctions.  It includes three models: the C3010DN printer and the C3060ND and C3060FR multifunctions.

These machines are mainly intended for small and medium enterprises, especially in the services sector and retail.  This series will replace the ProXpress C2620DW and C2670FW launched in 2014.

"Samsung Electronics provides products that provide reliable performance with a low total cost of ownership (TCO) for small and medium enterprises," said David Song SW, senior vice president for printing solutions at Samsung Electronics.

The TCO of these machines should be much smaller than the previous generation owing to their higher-capacity toner cartridges (up from 5,000 to 8,000 pages) and the use of their own Instant Fusing System (IFS).  This allows faster fixing of the toner to the paper, thus reducing the first-page-out time, reducing energy consumption and reducing component wear too.

Productivity and print quality have also been improved compared to the previous range.  Print speed is increased to 30 ppm, the resolution to 9,600 x 600 dpi and the total capacity of paper stocks is now 1,400 sheets.  The eXtensible Open Architecture (XOA) platform is also built in to C30 series to support numerous solutions.
