Companies and work groups are being spoiled this Since the beginning of September launches of new printers and multifunctions have multiplied. Xerox, HP, Kyocera, and Canon have all launched new products in these segments. Now it's OKI's turn. The Japanese manufacturer is launching TEN new machines onto the market: five A4 color printers, including the C332dn, C532dn, C542dn, C612 and C712; and three A3 color printers, the C823, C833 and C843; and two A4 color MFPs, the MC363dn and MC573dn.
The C332dn printer is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized businesses who want to print A4 color jobs on a professional level. It has a print speed of 26 ppm in color and 30 ppm in monochrome. The paper capacity is quite high for a printer, a maximum capacity of 880 sheets. Highest print resolution is 1,200 x 600 dpi, and this machine can handle a broad range of stocks, from A6-format to 1320 mm (4ft 4") banners, and thick stock up to 220 gsm (80 lb. Cover).
Designed for SMEs and workgroups, the C532dn and C542dn printers feature 7-inch color LCD touchscreens and OKI's smart Extendable Platform (sXP). This provides, inter alia, clear, real-time information about the status and connectivity of the print fleet. In addition, the Sendys Explorer Lite document management software can be installed and used at no extra cost from this platform.
"The new portfolio is designed to change perceptions of what a printer can do for businesses and organisations," said Tetsuya Kuri, vice president of EMEA marketing for OKI Europe.
The two A4 color multifunctions, the MC363dn and MC573dn also feature the OKI sXP platform, but only the latter has the new interface the manufacturer has developed. The MC363dn can print 30 ppm in monochrome and 26 ppm in color while the MC573 prints at 30 ppm in both color and monochrome. Both have a print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi and an auto-reversing document feeder with a capacity of 50 sheets.
All of these new printing systems are compatible with Google Cloud Print 2.0 and AirPrint. Finally, a Wi-Fi direct module is also available as an option.
