Santa Xerox is coming to SMEs early this year. Almost a month before the holidays, the manufacturer is launching two new A4 LED color machines. Why not make beautiful end-of-year gifts of the Phaser 6510 printer or the WorkCentre 6515 multifunction (compatible with the Xerox EIP platform)?
"Until now, the options for small business printing have been mostly products with marginal capabilities, limiting the types of jobs small businesses can manage on their own," says Tracey Koziol, senior vice president, Office and Solutions Business Group, Xerox. "The market has been waiting for affordable, high-powered products like these." With these new machines, Xerox intends to offer small organizations high-performance printing systems with features and options that are developed, reliable and easy to use.
The WorkCentre 6515 and the Phaser 6510 have the same print engine with a monthly volume of 50,000 pages, a 1 GHz processor and 2 GB memory. Both are capable of printing A4/Letter at 28 ppm and have a maximum print resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi.
From a configuration point of view, the WorkCentre 6515 is equipped with a 50-sheet single-pass document feeder capable of scanning up to 37 ipm, as well as a new 5-inch touch-screen interface similar to a tablet. The maximum capacity of the WorkCentre 6515 and the Phaser 6510 is 850 sheets.
Connectivity is there, as these machines are compatible with AirPrint systems and Google Cloud Print. The Xerox Print Service plug-in is also available for Androïd and Mopria. In addition, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct (for simplified printing from mobile devices under Android) are also integrated. Moreover, the Xerox Mobile Link application allows scanning to the Cloud.
Finally, toner improvements have also been made with Xerox's EA toner. Unlike traditional toner, EA toner is made through a chemical process which delivers tiny uniform color spheres, using 25% less energy. It offers 45% less toner consumption compared to conventional toners.
These models will be searchable on Your DMO very shortly.
