Oki app for mobile printing from Android devices

11 June 2014

On June 11, Oki launched their "Mobile Print" app for mobile devices running Android.  Mobile Print is compatible with Oki's LED ranges of printers and multifunctions.  Some A4 color LED already supported Google Cloud Print™ which already provided a means to print from Android smartphones or tablets.  However, the new "Mobile Print 'application also allows users to bypass the cloud and print directly from the Android device across the local network via the Oki LED printer or MFP.  In addition, with this application, it is possible to print PDF files, photos or web pages.  Worth noting also that Mobile Print has allows users to correct or modify the images for printing.  Mobile Print is compatible with Oki's accounting functions that control user access and implement quotas.

Oki will be developing more mobile printing solutions to meet the increasing demand for features and functions in this area.

The app is available in Japanese and English on Google Play™ for Android 4.4, the latest version of the OS.  Other languages will be available soon: Spanish, German, French, and Italian.
