Konica Minolta release a new generation of color digital presses   05 February 2014

On February 3rd, Konica Minolta announced their new range of color production machines.  These are the bizhub PRESS C1070, C1070P, C1060 and the bizhub PRO C1070, C1060 (only available in Europe) and the C1060L (only available in North America for the moment).  These devices are replacing the bizhub PRO & PRESS C6000 / C7000 series.

As well as numerous finishing options, these machines carry the fourth-generation Simitri HD polymerized toner, called "HD E."  Device features and functions include the SEAD (Screen Enhanced Digital Processing) imaging technology.  This allows image density to be measured and adjusted in real time.

What's more, these machines all support the Adobe PDF 3 Print Engine (APPE), the new rendering platform deisgned to optimize PDF workflows.

The bizhub PRO and PRESS C1070 and the C1070P are already available in Europe, and the bizhub PRO and PRESS C1060 will be in April.
