Toshiba launches a new range of departmental A3 color multifunctions   10 April 2014

Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc has announced the launch of the e-STUDIO 5560C, 6560C and 6570C. The e-STUDIO 6570C prints at 75 ppm in monochrome and at 65 ppm in color.  These machines are compatible with Toshiba's e-BRIDGE™ Color Profiler Version 2.0.  Users can further enhance print quality by taking the Fiery RIP option.  These devices have a system for automatically calibrating color which regularly verifies output to ensure constant color throughout the run.

In addition, the e-STUDIO 5560C, 6560C and 6570C have a 10.4-inch touch screen and a new-generation e-BRIDGE controller.  Mobile printing is possible from Apple smartphones and tablets (the machines support AirPrint) and Android devices (using e-BRIDGE Print & Capture, which also works on Apple devices).

Toshiba are highlighting the security aspects of these MFPs, in particular the encryption on the 320 GB hard disks, the fact that the entire contents of the disks are wiped should the disk be connected to a non-authorised system, and the security watermarks available for copy mode.

The new products have enhanced environmental credentials too.  The fuser units operate at a lower temperature, and the machines have a super-low comsumption stand-by mode.  The overall carbon footprint of the machines is reduced by using recycled plastics in the chassis.  Toshiba USA are offering a "zero-waste to landfill" program which includes both free recycling of toner cartridges and of old machines.

These machines are available in North America already.
