Kyocera launch four A4 multifunctions running up to 60ppm

18 April 2014

Both Kyocera Document Solutions Europe and Kyocera Document Solutions America have now announced the arrival of the  ECOSYS M3560idn, ECOSYS M3550idn, ECOSYS M3540idn and ECOSYS M3040idn A4 MFPs.  They print at 60, 50 and 40 ppm (for the ECOSYS M3540idn and M3040idn) onto A4, and have a scan speed of 60 ipm.  One of the new features of these A4 models is the ability to scan to encrypted PDF, which helps promote higher security, especially as regards email attachments.

These machines have a 7-inch color touch screen, and a fax card as standard (except for the ECOSYS M3040idn).  The monthly duty cycle for these machines is between 2,000 and 15,000 pages.

Kyocera are highlighting their patented long-life drum and the fact that it is separate from the toner catridge, which will reduce expense on consumables and improves the machines' environmental rating.  They have all been designed to comply with the new version of Blue Angel (RAL-UZ 171) and the Energy Star 2.0 standard.

These A4 devices all support AirPrint and run Kyocera's HyPAS software platform.  They respond well to user requirements to print from and scan to mobile devices, and can integrate into workflows involving the cloud as well as contribute to reduced print costs and improved print security.  Some of the more populat HyPas apps are Kyocera Cloud Connect, HomePOINT and DMS Link.
