14 October 2013
Running at 25, 35, 45 and 51 ppm, the iR Advance 4225i, 4235i, 4245i et 4251i bring the new features of the second generation of iR Advance platform to this segment of the market. We have already seen these on Canon's color A3 Office and Departmental models, and on the monochrome Departmental machines.
Among the new features, Canon is highlighting support for scanning to PDF text, now available as standard along with scanning to PowerPoint format Office Open XML. It is also now possible to alter the interface background to incorporate a corporate logo, for example.
Also, several security options which were additional options on the previous generation are now delivered as standard - hard disk datawipe, for example.
Other improvements Canon are highlighting include the larger hard disk, faster warm-up times and support for internet fax.
