Kyocera-Mita uses the summer to launch two new MFPs
24 August 2010
The FS-3040 and FS-3140 saw the light of day for the first time on French soil at the end of July.
These almost identical monochrome multiunction machines (the FS-3140 has a network fax) print at 40ppm and scan at 35ppm monochrome and 14ppm for color.
Kyocera-Mita describe these models as robust, with a life expectancy of 900,000 prints, which is exceptionally high for this category of machine.
This durability is due amongst other things to the ECOSYS technology: ECO for ECOlogy and for ECOnomy, and SYS for printing SYStem.
Thanks to ECOSYS, maintenance schedules are extended due in large part to there only being a single consumable item - toner. A patented amorphous silicon print drum and other long-life components mean less maintenance than with traditional processing.
