Alix and Philippine are still on their world tour to meet people, associations and congregations. DataMaster supports these two big-hearted travelers' humanitarian project.
A month and a half in Peru has had its impact! In Arequipa, they are involved in the association Rayo de Sol (Ray of Sun) which works in the underprivileged district of Cayma. Their field of action: looking after children from 1 to 4 years old, giving them access to games and teaching them to read. Our travelers really appreciated working with these people.
The financing of Rayo de Sol is provided by the operation of a French bakery (the association is Franco-Peruvian). Alix and Philippine have thus - literally - raised lots of dough for the association by helping make baguettes, "pains au chocolat" and other specialties obviously very much appreciated by the inhabitants of Cayma! A privileged position also for meetings, the other main axis of the Etin'sel project; the girls met a clown who could come to entertain the children of the association for a day, but also locals, tourists, traders ...
At the end of their mission, Alix and Philippine took a couple of days out to visit the Inca city of Cusco and the majestic site of Macchu Picchu; unforgettable of which you can see some photos at https://etinsel1819.wixsite.com/etinsel/newsletter-3.
Finally, the Peruvian stage ended in Lima, the capital, with the association Heart Points which provides material and spiritual support to people in difficulty. A nice conclusion before taking off for Mexico, where our adventurers' next chapter begins!
