DataMaster Lab test results for the OKI MC573dn

04 September 2018

OKI asked us to put their MC573dn intelligent A4 machine through its paces in our independent lab here in Rennes, France.  We tested its productivity, print quality and ease of use in all modes - to see how well it performs in the wide range of office and other business environments at which it is aimed.

The print quality for small characters and fine lines (black on white) was the best we have ever seen from an office machine.
It has more features and functions than most A4i machines - and these are all housed in a compact design:  it could pass for a desktop although it has most of the elements of a good A3 photocopier.
Updating firmware is key to security, so it is vital that it is easy to do.  It is much easier on the MC573dn than on many, many if its competitors.
This machine is highly productive when faced with a lof of work in a busy office environment:  workgroup productivity is 96%, against 76% for the segment on average.  The MC573dn RIPs fast too, 30% faster than the average in the A4i segment.
Last but not least, the high quality of manufacture that we are used to from OKI.  This is a robust machine which will last for years.
Add to all this that OKI give away the powerful Sendys Explorer document capture system for free with the MC573dn and you will understand that this machine represents exceptional value for money!
