Ricoh Pro C9200 Graphic Arts edition: improved pre-press performance   03 May 2018

Increase revenue, reduce operating costs and thereby grow: the new range of Ricoh Pro C9200 Graphic Arts edition sheet-fed digital color printers could be the new heavyweight champion for printshops - and among pre-press operators.

Building on the successful Ricoh ProTM C9100 technology platform, the Pro C9200 series offers enhanced image quality and excellent color management. Its new Auto Color Diagnostics feature ensures consistency and stability by detecting and adjusting subtle tonal variations during the run.  These new machines can handle a wider set of media and include better support for long sheets: up to 1030 mm in duplex mode and 1260 mm in simplex.  Heavy paper weights do not scare them either: up to 450 g / m2.

On the productivity side, the new Ricoh presses offer print speeds that climb to 115 ppm or even 135 ppm onto A4. Production is streamlined, thanks to options allowing a great versatility in applications. The new intuitive 17-inch control panel improves usability. Continuous operation is optimized, with better management of completed work. Its many user-replaceable components and easy-to-refill toner ensure optimum machine uptime.

A range of digital options is available to provide excellent integration of Ricoh's Fiery E-45, E-85 EF and TotalFlow R-62 DFE servers and controllers with various prepress workflow solutions, including Kodak Prinergy and Agfa's Apogee. The IPDS protocol is available as an option for AFP data flow printing environments.

"No other single-sheet digital color printer has the same performance as the Ricoh Pro C9200," said Eef de Ridder, director of commercial printing for Ricoh Europe's commercial and industrial printing group. "All these advances have been developed to flexibly support higher quality, on demand production of a wider range of services, printing on a broad choice of substrate types that includes synthetics, carbonless paper, coated and uncoated stock and envelopes. They help PSPs maximise production uptime and expand capabilities to more efficiently, cost effectively and profitably answer broadening market demands."

The Ricoh Pro C9200 Series will be available throughout the EMEA region from June. It will be presented at a series of events across Europe this summer under the banner "Art of the New 2018".
