Hewlett Packard has just launched a huge array of new products, including MFPs and content and workflow solutions.
HP Flow CM Enterprise solutions has been developed by Autonomy, a software company owned by HP. The “CM” stands for Content Management, and the intention with this product is to provide HP dealers with a state-of-the-art enterprise content management system.
The Flow Solutions help to share and manage documents and information from a very wide variety of sources, and provide workflow options to automate business processes. They also provide version control and traceability to provide practical support for security concerns and to aid regulatory compliance.
The technical platform for HP’s content management software is Autonomy’s Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) software, which can support over 1000 file types and 150 languages (in terms of the content).
Many of the other apps launched this week are Autonomy products, including a new version of Worksite, the HP app for sharing document data with mobile users. Again the key aims are to automate business processes and to facilitate data and document search and retrieval. The hosted version of Worksite is now the largest private cloud resource in the world.
