Ricoh launches the Pro C900AFP

10 February 2012

The alliance between the Ricoh print engine and Infotec's AFP controller has given birth to a new 90/90 ppm digital press:  the Ricoh Pro C900 AFP.

According to Ricoh, this press is "dedicated to the printing of sensitive transactional and promotional material (invoices, check letters, statements, reply coupons or personalised mailings, among others.
"It is specifically aimed at publishing environments such as:
- IT Centers and Publishing Centers: banks, insurers, telecoms and public services
- Service providers: direct mailing, routers
- Sales by correspondence companies
- Direct marketing firms."

Ricoh is also putting in place a program of operator-replaceable components, to give professional users the option to carry out certain maintenance jobs themselves (replacement of certain parts), thus avoiding the need to wait for a service visit, probably with the machine on standy-by.
