The WorkCentre 6605, intended to replace the Phaser6180MFP in the Xerox color laser multifunction range, comes with a 4.3-inch color touch screen, and an automatic duplex feeder. This MFP also runs faster than its predecessor, delivering 35 ppm in both monochrome and color. The Phaser 6180 MFP only ran at 30 pages per minute for b&w prints and, more importantly, at only 20 ppm in color.
Users of this multifunction will also appreciate the USB slot on the font of the machine; handy for scanning to, and for printing PDF documents straight from a USB key.
This device is also available as a printer under the name Phaser 6600.
Xerox are in launch mode this month, adding to its A3 printer range with the Phaser 7100, an affordable device with some interesting features: 30 pages per minute onto A4 in both color and monochrome, resolution of 1200 dpi and banner printing onto stock up to 1200 mm long.
Lastly they are updating their A4 monochrome MFP range with the new WorkCentre 3315 and WorkCentre 3325. These two MFPs differ in terms of their print speeds (31 and 35 ppm respectively), their feeders (simplex on the 3315 but automatic duplex on the 3325) and their controller hardware (processor and memory).
A monochrome printer based on the same engine as the two models above is being launched at the same time. The Phaser 3320 runs at 35 pages per minute.
