Canon imagePRESS Lite series

05 February 2021

Canon have added a second imagePRESS Lite high-end color departmental copier / light production printer, the imagePRESS Lite C170.  The new machine can run at up to 70 ppm in color and 80 ppm in black.

The brand are highlighting the machines' ability to produce vibrant, high-quality images thanks to the R-VCSEL Imaging Laser, Multi D.A.T., and Translucent CV Toner.  These are machines designed and manufactured with the environment in mind, with low Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) - and they have earned an EPEAT Gold certificate.

The imagePRESS Lite C170 and imagePRESS Lite C165 share some of the features and functions of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX office multifunction printer line of products.  Users will be able to move from one machine to another relatively easily, support staff will find the firmware upgrade path easy to manage, and they are all compatible with the same software solutions.

Both devices can print onto stocks up to 350gsm, and can produce banners up to 51 inches / 130 cm long, given the right optional accessories. The imagePRESS Lite series are compatible with the new EFI Fiery powered Canon imagePRESS Server M10 V2 and L30 V2 print controllers.

At Canon, we are committed to delivering solutions that are equipped to support a variety of uses and help our customers meet everyday business and customer demands,” said Shinichi Yoshida, executive vice president and general manager, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “Built with efficiency, ease, quality and control in mind, the imagePRESS Lite C170 color multifunction printer is an outstanding solution to support users as they look to enhance their internal creativity and printing capabilities.”
