DataMaster gives full five stars to the Kyocera TASKalfa MZ2501ci and MZ3501ci A3 multifunctions
17 November 2025
We have put the Kyocera TASKalfa MZ2501ci through all the DataMaster tests here in our independent test lab.
Print quality is excellent: high resolution, clean solids, good contrast in photos, best in class for small texts.
Great test lab productivity results across the board: best-in-class first page out times (measured in our lab); work group multi-usage without slowing down, simultaneous operation and setup; duplex print speeds; and scan speeds.
The range offers two special features in scan mode:
- They run slightly slow when high-compression is selected. This is part of their careful memory management. They start processing images as soon as the first is received, which means post-scan processing time is greatly reduced. They take 5,2 seconds to compress 64 images, which some competing machines take nearly 2 minutes to do.
The upshot is really high overall productivity.
- Also, these machines are really good at accentuating text on a complex background. They read invoices with a logo in the background more accurately than almost all competing devices. This means invoices (and other documents with a background image) can be read (OCR) better than on many competing machines, even dedicated scanners.
