Brother is launching the L8000 and L9000 series, a new range of business color laser printer and multifunction laser products running at up to 31 ppm. Available in May 2017, these printing systems consist of three printers: the HL-L8260CDW, HL-L8360CDW and HL-L9310CDW; and four multifunction printers: the DCP-L8410CDW, MFC-L8690CDW, MFC-L8900CDW and MFC-L9570CDW.
The L8000 and L9000 printing systems are intended to meet the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses. As well as supporting LDAP/Active directory, they have two processors. The main one, an ARM 800 MHz Cortex-A9 is more dedicated to maintaining productivity: task management, promising simultaneous scanning and printing, for example. The second processor is an ASIC 113 MHz just for the RIP.
The L8000 and L9000 Series are equipped with 7-inch customizable touchscreens, 80-sheet single-pass document feeders scanning at up to 100 ipm at resolutions up to 2400 dpi.
In terms of connectivity, these machines are compatible with NFC technology and the Brother iPrint & Scan mobile application. Security is also present with secure printing, support for badge readers and digital code authentication functions.
Finally, this range also includes PrintSmart features such as the PrintSmart CostControl solution, which allows you to monitor, control and reduce printing costs, or PrintSmart SecurePro which provides print-on-demand and data security.
The L8000 and L9000 series are also available in MPS as part of Brother's Managed Print Services program.
