Toshiba America launches e-BRIDGE CloudConnect, app for remote admin and monitoring

For any distributor in the office world in general and in particular in the multifunction market, one of the keys to customer satisfaction is to keep their customers' business equipment running smoothly.  To help meet this objective, Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS) has designed e-Bridge CloudConnect, a Microsoft SQL Azure system which provides monitoring and remote management of devices.

e-Bridge CloudConnect was launched last month in North America, and will soon be available in Europe and Asia.
CloudConnect is designed to improve delivery times and service call management, providing a cloud-based tool for device management.  The features of this application include:
- Sending real-time customizable alerts
- Remote configuration of the multifunction printer: control panel configuration, firmware updating, automatic collection of meter readings and other data services

This solution is compatible with Toshiba equipment currently on-catalog but may require firmware updates for equipment already in use at customer sites.
