Fujifilm launch A3 MFPs and new digital presses in Europe
24 April 2024
Fujifilm, or just Fuji: these are both household names in Europe and North America. The Tokyo-based multinational conglomerate may be most widely known for making photographic film, but they also operate in many other sectors such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals as well as in print. Although they are best known in the print world for their impressive ranges of wide-format and labelling machines, they already have a significant market share in the digital press and office equipment markets: they make almost all of Xerox’s machines, and have for decades.
In 2019, Xerox and Fujifilm ended their 57-year-old joint venture, Fuji Xerox. Xerox have just announced they will soon stop manufacturing their iGen and Nuvera digital presses. Although Xerox continue to sell Fujifilm office and production machines, Fujifilm are now free to have their own brand presence in both office and production worldwide.
The European launches of the Fujifilm Revoria production digital presses and Apeos A3 office multifunction printers have coincided with the formation of their strategic alliance with Konica Minolta. Konica’s logistics and dealerships are just what Fujifilm needs to expand their global presence. In addition, ex-Xerox staff know how to maintain Fujifilm devices.
We already know Fujifilm products, and we’re looking forward to getting to know them better. We’re looking forward to seeing what Fujifilm does next!
