DocuWare figures confirm homeworking is good for cloud business

01 October 2020

It's not just Zoom and Netflix (and thus Amazon Web Services) that are having a good year despite everything. DocuWare, who develop, sell and manage document management solutions worldwide, have released figures showing that the global pandemic has proven good for revenues.

As workforces have moved home, existing cloud service users carried on as before - no drop in usage. More significantly, new cloud-service usership is up 24.3 per cent year on year, as new homeworkers took up DocuWare as a means of sharing and processing information and documents. Furthermore, since many of these people have returned to the office, volumes of documents have increased still further.

This confirms the view that trends towards mobile usership and cloud-service adoption have accelerated and become permanent as a direct result of the Covid pandemic.
