Award #4: Best Productivity in Duplex
 
DataMaster Lab is very proud to announce the DataMaster Lab Awards 2019.  This year there are some new Award categories.
 
DataMaster Lab is the European centre of print expertise.  DataMaster Lab has been testing printing equipment since 2009.  The teams have tested multifunction printers, digital presses and A4 machines too.  They have carried out over 10,000 individual tests on some 500 machines.  The DataMaster Lab evaluations system reviews over 200,000 different results.

Edward Bilson, Technical Director of DataMaster Lab said, "We are delighted to announce the second edition of the DataMaster Lab Print Awards.  Last year’s Awards were so well received because they are about performance in the real-world scenarios that end customers really care about.  Our evaluations are all based on data from our own Lab which is available to DataMaster Online subscribers, so the whole world can see that they are both independent and credible.  As such, they might differ from other industry awards – but you can rely on ours.
 
The Awards are for A4/Letter and A3/Ledger MFPs in their various market segments.  

These Awards are for Productivity printing on both sides of the sheet.

Even among the office multi-functions launched since 2017, duplex speeds – as a proportion of the manufacturer’s specified speed for single-sided printing – vary from 26% to 111%! Office staff should not be punished for saving paper – but most copier manufacturers do NOT publish their duplex speeds. Many sales people do not know how well or poorly their products perform. Their customers do not know how much time=money is at stake.

All DataMaster Lab test results are available on the sales-support site DataMaster Online (DMO), which is available by subscription on Printer-Benchmark.com.
 
We test productivity in real-world scenarios - we go a lot further that the ISO tests do.  We test print quality, and our test engineers - who test all the brands machines - assess how easy the machines are to use.  We have standardized tests for the interface, driver, web page, consumables and admin screens.
DataMaster Lab has never derived any revenue from tests, certificates or evaluations.  All testing feeds information to DMO, which is used by sales teams, marketing specialists and buyers all over the world.  DMO also carries all the technical specifications for over 5,000 MFPs and presses in all segments, sales arguments for them all (both pro and con), and the same for the software solutions sold in the print world.
